Requirements:

 

It is very important to get deep understanding of first three topics in bold (others are important too) These are US Collections Rules and Regulation Acts.

  • The Fair Debt Collections Practice Act (FDCPA)
  • Graham Leach Bliley Privacy Act (GLBA)
  • The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Knowledge of Data Security and Collections Compliance Standards would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with US government Acts such as FDCPA, FRCA, TCPA, SRCA, ECOA, EFTA, GLBA, TILA, UDAAP, (PCI-DSS), (CFPB), HIPPA, (RESPA) United States Bankruptcy Code and all other local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Review and audit Collections Law Firm’s Policies and Procedures to make sure they are in-line with the industry standards.
  • Notate the findings and update it in the audit tool.
  • Review law firms’ insurance policies, certificates and licenses and update in audit tool.
  • Request relevant artifacts and data from the law firms and consistent follow-up until audit is complete Suggest remediation on the valid findings.
  • Discuss findings with the client and law firms on the audit call.
  • Assist client in drafting questionnaire, enhance compliance requirements Consult in development and improvement of audit tool and related process flows Good Decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent command over verbal and written English
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate with clients and vendors Independent worker with very good stakeholder management capability.
  • Flexible to work in different time shifts, work extended hours and holidays.
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
  • Draft, modify and implement company policies.
  • Work under pressure and deliver results. 

 

Skills

  • Good English communication skills.
  • Proven experience as in compliance/ audits, US Collections Rules and Regulation Acts

 

Education

  • Minimum a graduate (in any field).
