Position Name - Compliance Officer

Location - Gift City-Gandhinagar

Experience Range - 5+ years

Mandatory Requirement:

  • 5+ years of experience in Alternate Investment Fund regulations

  • CS or CA

  • Minimum 4+ years of post-CS membership experience

  • Experience in dealing with foreign law firms

  • Should be equipped to do research under SEBI AIF Regulations, FEMA, regulations 

About the client:

Founded in 2018,Company is a 17000+ strong members angel investing firm which supports new-age entrepreneurs, providing them monetary & experiential capital by connecting them with a diverse group of investors. Company is in the process of opening CAT-1 angel fund in the GIFT City fund.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  •  Update internal policies related to KYC, AML, insider trading, client onboarding, and investor grievance policy and create efficient controls for reconciliations, Risk and compliance management, and review

  •  Assist in maintaining all documents related to receipt of investment by AIF and reporting by AIF to its trustee, contributors, and regulators and its operations

  •  Monitor and process documents required for drawdown notices.

  • Preparation of details of schemes required for SEBI/IFSC

  • Monitor, track, and implement new compliance requirements, processes and reports

  • You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including compliance advisors, fund managers, sales teams, fund accountants, and counterparties, to ensure adherence to and improvement of laid-down operational policies, SLAs, and processes in the best interest of the business and all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Flag issues proactively and ability to foresee outcomes keeping in mind the operational risk framework in line with the legal parlance


Qualification and Experience:
  •  MBA (Finance, with a minimum 5 years of work experience as an Analyst in a VC/PE/Angel Investing Platforms/ Big4 or leading consulting firms. Alternately experience of working with a start-up in fundraising.

  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management operations and reporting

  • Knowledge of Finance / Accounting would be preferred

  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint
